NIKE BASKETBALL | LEBRON WIN AD "RINGMAKER"

LeBron James is one of the greatest players ever. But despite his heroic play and other worldly talent, LeBron caught a lot of heat and criticism because his talent had yet to produce a NBA title. In his second season in Miami after his controversial ‘decision’, LeBron faced the pressure and challenge of winning his first title after losing in his first year in Miami. The postseason is always a difficult and challenging journey for LeBron James. But this was his time to silence his critics by not only winning his first NBA Championship, but by performing well under the bright lights. It was also a big moment for Nike Basketball as it was a chance to support one of its great athletes and make a powerful statement in one of his most memorable moments. The challenge was clear, how do we recognize LeBron’s immediate dominance and impending quest while also celebrating him accomplishing an elusive childhood dream?

LeBron James has been in the spotlight since he was 15 years old. During that time, everyone from his fans to his critics have watched with curiosity to see what he would become on his journey. We all knew LeBron would win his ring, but it was just a matter of when. With this win ad, we wanted to show the up-and-downs of LeBron’s journey, all of which helped mold LeBron into a champion. Through the eyes of the Ringmaker, who has spent his time crafting LeBron’s ring for years,  we were able to reflect and celebrate LeBron’s one-of-a-kind journey to become the champion we all knew he would be come.
