Rihanna is a global icon and a hugely influential creative force. Throughout her career, her presence has touched countless people around the world. We set out to create moments that spoke to her unique influence on so many different communities. In the film, “Pose,” we paid homage to New York’s ballroom icons and legends, who come together to celebrate Rihanna’s allyship to the LGBTQIA+ community. We consulted with Rihanna’s friend, hairstylist and Miyalke-Mugler Father, Yusef Williams, to cast and style the performers for this film. Each of the nine core talent proudly represented their individual Houses from all over New York, wearing outfits inspired by Rihanna’s most iconic looks - from her “Pour It Up” and “Work” music videos to Internet breaking Met Gala gowns.
